PINOCOCO is a duly registered import export company established in August 2009, with its main office at Liloan, Cebu City, Philippines. PINOCOCO has been coined from the words Filipino coconut, our own version of Filipino ingenuity.
This company came about when a group of women with children got together, prayed and asked God for ways to provide livelihood without neglecting home and children. These women live on the fringes of poverty and need for support of their families.
Just recently, this work has extended to another group of women and young girls that has been taken for granted by our society – the victims of human trafficking. International Justice Mission, Cebu has heard of our work and approached us as well to teach and train these young girls on the skills of handicrafts.
The idea of creating handmade items at home was the most feasible. Lyn Deutsch, a Christian artist, painter and designer, volunteered to design products made from indigenous materials. Samples and components of these designs are then given to the women to work at home. Home visits are done for fellowships and Bible studies as well as to encourage the women to excel and to impact the homes and families in their communities.
PINOCOCO has the goal to produce high quality handmade products with the unique identity of being natural, exotic, timeless yet updated. We are on continuous research and development to come up with unique and original components and designs. Currently we are creating gorgeous costume jewelry and bags.
In this site, you will see our design collections. Each item is made from indigenous materials meticulously handcrafted by indigent women with children and girls rescued from trafficking. For your every purchase, you become part of God’s redemption and healing of these young girls and women.
